Then it began popping up its ugly head everywhere and wondered what the heck people were talking about. It probably took about two years before the penny finally dropped–okay, I’m a slow study :) I had the same problem with “the verb to be” in high school. I’d almost turn myself into a pretzel trying to understand it. LOL I’m still not sure that I do.
